Hmmm, not sure what would kill an ethernet/wan/lan port on the back of a new desktop. I don't see it under system devices as a single item. They did a troubleshoot and the Windows 10 pro did its trick and they basically turned on wifi on the desktop had internet. This file was automatically installed as part of a recent update. My mother went to the desktop and declared to my father no internet (but the phones had internet). I missed the start of this problem as I was in bed.
